Lubricant
There is a lubricant known as Petromoly that was tested back in 1999. After performing certain tests the EPA concluded that this was able to save an average of 2% in fuel economy for the city and 3% for the highway. There was also a 5% increase in nitrogen oxides and a 9% reduction of hydrocarbons and a 10% in carbon monoxide.
Pass Master Car Air Conditioner
This device is made using a vacuum switch that will know when there is a drop in the air pressure inside of the engine. This is caused when it is trying to get more power. When this power demand occurs the vehicle is usually trying to accelerate at a quick speed or drive up hills. The switch will open the circuit that gives off the power and passes it to the compressor clutch. This will then make the clutch idle.
When this happen there will be a 15 horsepower decrease load removed from the compressor and it will help the engine to accelerate without any type of dragging. This device is older and was tested back in 1980. It was discovered that it offered a 4% increase in fuel economy to those who use their air conditioning a lot.
